Handle Driver HOS Log Amendments
Disclaimer - All the necessary amendments are recorded and are visible at the time of the transfer to the DOT officer/Inspection.
To finalize and edit, the following steps are necessary:
- The driver certifies their daily log.
- If the carrier rectifies any errors in the driver's log. The driver needs to acknowledge the proposed corrections to conclude the edit.

Please Note:
Drivers are unable to modify certified logs unless allowed by the administrator.
- Compliance with ELD Mandate Driver Verification.
- Under Advaya Fleet ELD, driver approval is necessary for edits suggested by a carrier. Precisely, 49 CFR 395.30 (d) 1-2 stipulates.
- A driver must either confirm or reject any proposed change to enable motor carrier-proposed changes to be implemented.
- A motor carrier is prohibited from requesting edits to the driver's electronic records until the records have been submitted by the driver.
Admins can modify a Driver HOS Log using the following process:
At the conclusion of a shift, driver certifies the logs > approve or reject any changes made by the manager.
- ELD regulations prohibit carriers from altering automatically recorded drive time. If corrections are necessary, remarks or edits can be made.
- Navigate to the Advaya dashboard, then select Compliance.
- Choose the driver's name. Specify the date range of interest.
- Choose the date of the log you wish to edit.
- For automatically recorded drive time, tap on Remark to insert a comment.
- Choose a Start time and End time for the segment you intend to modify.
- Specify the Status you wish to assign to this time segment.
- Provide a brief explanatory Remark regarding the edit.
- Save your modifications.
The driver reviews the modifications in the Advaya Driver App and either accepts or rejects them.
